adult access to areas

how does one gain access to adult areas in SL

Set your access setting in Preferences.  As long as you are over 18 in RL, that's it.

There are three places to set your maturity preferences.

• In Me/Preferences/General tab
• In Search (the icon that looks like a magnifying glass)
• In the Marketplace on this website

If you are 18 or older in real life, and the options for Moderate and Adult are grayed out, you may be seeing a bug that happens some times.  If that's the case, go to Help/Support on your Dashboard page here on the website, and file a support case.
