Perplexedboss
I recently bought a boat, a large one and I need to know a location in SL that I can float my boat? I location called Blake Sea but the owner of eithet the water or the dock did not allow rezzing. Does anyone have any ideas?
Callum Meriman
It's going to be best to sail around the Blake sea. In each sim, in the corner, is a rez-zone. Turn on property lines on your minimap so you can see them, and use those. Direct TP to one: http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Blake Sea - Crows Nest/229/227/3 Edited August 23, 2018 by Callum Meriman
KT Kingsley
One thing to look out for when rezzing on water is that your viewer often takes the rezz point to be the land where your cursor would be pointing if there wasn't any water in the way. If you're having trouble in what you know to be a valid rez zone, try looking straight down when you try to rez something.
Lindal Kidd
Rezzing a boat to use it isn't hard. As Callum said, there are rez zones in the corner of most of the Blake Sea regions. Plus there are rez areas in many marinas around the Blake, and other areas of Linden ocean. There's a public rez zone at my place, The Masocado Resort, and the Tradewinds Yacht Club is open rez; both have access to the Blake Sea. But, while you can easily rez and use your boat, you will find it much harder to KEEP it rezzed. If you'd like to live aboard, or just be able to lounge at the dock, sipping mai tais and admiring your yacht, you'll have to rent slip space or mooring space. Also, if you are on a yachting expedition, and find a nice deserted island to explore, when you jump off your boat, it's likely to be returned to your Lost and Found folder within a few seconds or minutes. Dune Ravenwood
Try Second Norway. All public waters and docks allow rezzing and it connects to Blake Sea with hours of sailing without ban lines etc.
