Love Zhaoying
I’ve always been a fan, student, collector of information and art of the St. Louis 1904 Louisiana Purchase Exposition (the “1904 World’s Fair”). Partly because my roots are in St. Louis. Anyway, while navel-gazing tonight over “SL vs. RL” it occurred to me, that I never considered commissioning any builds from the Fair. Here are 4 original artistic prints (this post and first comment) from the Fair. Note that the building in the first one is 1000 feet long - longer than a sim! (See the tiny people, to scale.) Sorry for the quality, these are on my walls behind glass. I do not know if anyone has built or commissioned anything from the 1904 World’s Fair in SL. Any thoughts? *Edit* I have many reference photos and drawings of buildings from the Fair. Edited March 13, 2018 by Love Zhaoying

animats
SL used to have a model of Versailles, but the group behind it couldn't afford the tier charges. If good big stuff is going away, and you own it, consider moving it to Metropolis Metaversium, on OpenSim. Few people go there, but it beats deleting it.
Theresa Tennyson
Also, a walk through model of a large, rather static environment like the 1904 World's Fair or Versailles is exactly what Sansar is best suited for right now. 1
Vanity Fair
Sansar does have an impressive recreation of the 1915 San Francisco World's Fair: https://ryanschultz.com/2017/08/04/pick-of-the-day-idia-labs-1915-san-francisco-worlds-fair/
