RoyBlakeley
I downloaded the most recent Second Life Viewer Update, but it would start to launch and then quit because "Python quit unexpectedly." I downloaded the latest version of Python and it still wouldn't work. What should I do? I am running Mac OSX version 10.7.5.
Whirly Fizzle
File a JIRA issue. Zip up your viewer logs & attach them to the JIRA issue using More Actions -> Attach Files. This page explains how to find your logs folder: https://community.secondlife.com/knowledgebase/english/how-to-report-a-bug-r224#Section__3 If you can't find your logs, don't worry. Once the JIRA issue is filed, a JIRA Linden will help you get the logs.

From the System Requirements page: Quote Mac OS X 10.9 or better if for some reason you really can't upgrade your OS, for some time there is a viewer available from the Alternate Viewers Obsolete Platforms page on the wiki that may work for you, but it will get no updates for new features or even for bug fixes.
