Question about the viewer cache

I'm just trying to understand how the texture cache works...

With an empty cache, when i have my graphics settings to "Low" at the beginning, will my cache be filled with "lower quality" textures?

Or does the cache always fill with the same quality textures, no matter if i set the graphics to low or high?

Your graphics settings don't change the textures so it makes no difference.

The quality of the textures loaded into cache is only dependent on the quality that the textures were created at. 

The graphics settings control the various features used to render items to your viewer.
