what is group liability payments for ?

i've noticed that I have been charged for group liability for  my clan group, what is this charge for exactly ? thank you for your help.

Basically, who ever set up your group role in that group, set it so that you and anyone else with the same role are 'liable' for any chages the group incurs.

 

What often happens is the group owner sets  some land to 'group ownership' say as a 'clan sim' for example, despite the land  being owned by the 'group' the tier is still payed by the group owner personally, but they also tick the land option box to pay a few for advertsing in search, for example, and forget to pay enough linden into  group funds each week to cover the seartch listing fee, so the debt gets shared out amongst group members set to 'liable' roles.
