Thirty thousand!?  Ouch.

There are a couple of possibilities.

1.  If you are looking at the balance shown on your viewer in world, it could simply be wrong.  Check your balance here on the website, on your account page.  It is always correct.

2.  If the $L still appear to be missing, check your $L Transaction log, also on your account page.  See if any transactions were made.  Your next action will depend on where the money went.

  1. If it went to "system", then LL removed the money, possibly because they felt it was part of an illegal money laundering action
  2. If it went to another resident, then there are two possibilities.
    1. You rezzed or wore an object you were given. It asked for permission to take $L from you.  You clicked Allow.  If this is the case, immediately take off, or delete the object from in world.  File an Abuse report against its last owner, using $L Fraud as the abuse category.
    2. You visited a URL someone gave you, and entered your user name and password.  It was a phishing scam, and now the scammer can log in as you, and steal your $L.  Use the Fraud Report Hotline to report this, and also file a Support Case and an Abuse Report against that person.
