if you think it's worht the extra money to buy a prebuild sim, and than delete the stuff you paid more for... go ahead..but to be honest don't you think a empty sim would be better?

don;t forget... the prebuild sim has the same amount of prims, the prebuild will use a decent amount of that already., it's not as with Linden homes, that the prebuild doesn't count against the available total.

i'd like to specify a bit...

developed and undeveloped sims/land are terms used on the official Linden pages for ordering sims.

If you mean sims sold by residents... thats always cheaper than buying from LL, but 95% or more, will be also undeveloped...at most a bit terraformed.

Lots of objects used to develop a sim by residents are not transfer..so would be useless to let it stay on a sim for the next owner.

Any "Full" region will support up to 15,000 prims, whether it's "developed" or "undeveloped."

You would only purchase a "developed" region from Linden Lab if you really like the shape of the land and the pre-supplied buildings, and want to save yourself some time and effort terraforming the land yourself and buying or creating your own structures.  NOTE:  The prims of any structures on a "developed" region will count against your 15,000 prim land capacity.

Also, I do NOT recommend that you start your experience with virtual land by buying an entire region!  Not only is it expensive, but it's far better to start with a much smaller piece of land, to gain experience in how land "works" in Second Life.  Get a Linden Home, or rent a parcel from another resident, either on the Mainland or on a private estate.
