mesh cat

i bought a mesh cat from the marketplace. how do i detach it from my avatar into my inventory so i can place it on the floor?

right click on it in your inventory or the cat while you wear it and detach

Hi Vixie, Welcome to Second Life!

After detaching the cat as Alwin describes, you can place it on your floor by simply dragging it from inventory onto the floor/ground near where you are standing. Should you wish to return the cat to inventory in the future, right click on it and select "Take".
