Kids' clothes need two Marketplace categories

How do I make a suggestion to LL that the Marketplace category for kids' clothing needs to be divided into two?

There are two main types of kid avatars: the more realistically sized ones, sometimes known as "regular kids" or "big kids" mostly using the popular SMB mesh avatar or the standard SL avatar, and then the tiny little toddler avatars, most of which use the Toddleedoo mesh avatar or other similar ones. Mine is the SMB mesh avatar and I love how realistic it is. Other people like being miniature, and that's fine.

The thing is, the clothing for the two is not interchangeable. There are tons of fabulous creations for both. But clothing made for Toddleedoo avatars can only be worn by those avatars; it can't be worn by SMB or standard avatars. And vice versa.

Creators for adult avatars often include versions for more than one mesh body, but creators for kids don't do that. Clothing creations for kids are almost always for one or the other. And that makes shopping for them on Marketplace a big headache, because there is only one category for kids' clothes. It's really annoying to have to sift through all the stuff that doesn't apply to me.

The Marketplace category - Apparel > Children's - needs to be subdivided into Standard Kids and Toddlers, or some such, so that the Toddleedoo clothes have their own category, and those of us who wear the SMB or Standard avatar can more easily locate clothes that we can wear.

I doubt it would solve much. Because LL never made categories for one specific brand of things, so there wouldn't be a category for toddleedoo avatar stuff, but a very broad category that would contain all sorts of baby and toddler clothes. (If they would do it, of course).

I think they should subdivide it into

  1. --Babies
  2. --Toddlers
  3. --Standard (not TD) Kids

and then subdivide each of those into

  1. --Boys
  2. --Girls
  3. --Unisex

I mostly just wish they would put the Toddleedoo stuff somewhere ELSE so that I can find things to wear. I'd probably buy more stuff if I could actually, you know, FIND it.

The typed-in searches on the marketplace can be used to filter most of the toddler clothes out if you add "NOT (thing)" to the search. Some will slip through if the maker didn't spell the toddler brand correctly or abbreviated it, and you have to do individual searches, so it's not going to be perfect and is a bit cumbersome. But if you know you want, like, jeans, you could go to apparel, type "jeans NOT toddleedoo" and then click on the children's subcategory under apparel after the search results come up. You'll end up with things in that subcategory that match the jeans keyword and not the toddleedoo keyword.
