JadetheGamerxo
Hi there, I have a Paypal account I am trying to use to buy Lindens, but its not letting me because I don't have a bank account linked to my Paypal, is there a way around this? Also, is it possible to use prepaid debit cards to buy Lindens?, because I don't have a credit card. Thank you to anyone who replies :matte-motes-smile:
Kelli May
This has been asked a few times, and the short answer is "it's hard to say". A longer answer: Pre-paid debit cards don't have a good history of working. VISA-backed debit cards which draw on a bank account work perfectly for some people, not for others. Also discussed here and here.
HarrisonMcKenzie
ve you tried linking your bank account? Or a prepaid Mastercard (I understand that Visas are always **bleep** and no one accepts them)? You can also buy using Skrill (whatever that is). There are lots of people who don't have a credit card, so you should be able to figure something out.
JadetheGamerxo
Do you know from personal experience if a prepaid Mastercard actually works to buy Lindens? I just don't want to go out and get one and they won't accept it, you know?
HarrisonMcKenzie
No, but I've worked in billing scenarios where Mastercard works far more reliably than Visa, due to a certain brand of prepaid Visa cards being widely circulated but not accepted. But you also have a situation where, if not accepted for Linden, you can still use it to buy groceries, clothes, and other RL goods. Don"t buy $100 at a time, but I don't see how buying a $20 card is a detrement.
JadetheGamerxo
Yeah, you have a good point there about using the card for other things if it doesn't work and yes I was only planning to put a small amount on the card anyways thank you again for the replies, I'll give MasterCard a go!
