I start flying when I enter in a new area, and I can't stop it.

Whenever I teleport into a new area, my avatar starts flying without me pressing the page up button. How can I fix this? since I'm new, I'm just using the default Second Life browser.

that's what we call lag or lagging, it's a communication problem between your viewer and the SL Servers.

it that doesn't work try a 3rd party viewer like firestorm, http://www.firestormviewer.org/ that sometimes also gives a better result.

And do a search at the helpsections for "lag" and or "lagging". There is so much written about it, impossible to repeat it here.

When you ask a tech question include informatoin avout your computer and viewer. Use HELP->ABOUT... in the viewer and copy/paste that info with your question. You can edit your post using OPTIONS, upper right, to add info to this question.

In the Firestorm Viewer there is a setting to enable or disable this behavior.

There is no similar setting in the Linden SL Viewer, AFAIK. So, it would be a bug and you would need to file a JIRA bug report.

If you decide to install Firestorm, keep the SL Viewer installed. When you have a problem using SL it is very handy to have two viewers for troubleshooting.
