maturity ratings

I have my maturity rating set to general, mature and adult. I am able to do everything except search in marketplace for adult items. I have had no problems with this until just recently. I have all places set to the correct setting and I also have payment info registered. I've uninstalled firestorm and cleaned everything and reinstalled, it's still not working. Please help. I assume that "all the places set to the correct setting" includes the dropdown menu at the top/center of the screen in Marketplace.  If you've done that and it's still not working, I'd suggest clearing your browser's cache or trying a different web browser.  The SL web sites are optimized for Opera, but usually work well for most people using Firefox or Chrome.  Internet Explorer gives many people problems. 

BTW, reinstalling Firestorm was an interesting idea, but it shouldn't have made any difference, since Marketplace is a web site, not a feature of your viewer.  Even if you access Marketplace from your viewer, all it's doing is opening another instance of the Mozilla browser software.

Just to reiterate...

Since you registered with your real life information and birth date, all you need to do that is age related is to make sure you have selected the level of information you are willing to see in all these locations:

1) In the Viewer General Tab [ G ] [ M ] [ A ] - Check the desired options

2) In the Viewer [Ctr'-M] World Map Events: [ G ] [ M ] [ A ] - Check the desired options

3) In the in-world Search Window - Perform any search then check the desired viewing levels in the upper left area of the search window - [ G ] [ M ] [ A ]

4) In the MarketPlace click on the Show maturity levels Down Arrow and select the desired viewing options phrase. {Note: I find it interesting that you can select Adult Only as one of the options here}

Additional Note: Do understand that many Adult venues may also impose a "How Long Has the Avatar Been Created" restriction. This is to keep out griefers and in some cases, new persons [ noobies ] from these areas.

Besides setting Maturity preferences in all the various places, be sure you are SIGNED IN to the Marketplace.  If you browse there without being signed in, you'll be limited to General items.
