How do I file a detailed report against a company in SL for fraud?

Question

OVer a week ago I purchased a pack of breedable dogs. Shortly after birthing them noticed they were messed up. Textures all messed up, females changed to males even tho their "dashboard" showed the right dogs.

After rude CSR 1 saying "you cant prove those are the dogs you jsut got from us" (yes I can with the transaction history.)

The 2nd CSR treid to help and contacted a tech.  After playing tag with him he FINALLY came and took all 10 dogs to "fix" them. WAs told give it a couple days. After day 2 I started asking becuase he had also said he'd post on their online ticket system he had the dogs and didnt... Where my dogs are... No response..

Since then I've played tag. Get on, he's there, send a msg, wait 1-4 hours.. no reply.. Log off and as soon as I do he respondes with "hi" no info, no nothing.. No matter how long I wait on SL for him to reply he only does AFTER I've logged.

The ticket system he said the dogs were fixed (2 days ago) and to contact him as soon as I'm on.

CSR last night swore he'd handle it asap... nodda..

CSR tonight.. back to the rude service saying things to make it like I'm in the wrong like "and it took you a week to figure out they were broken before contacting us" making the issue a lot worse.... Plus I didnt wait a week.. I've played tag with them for a week.

I reported it ingame but it only allowed so many words before cap and want to file a REAL ticket on these ppl!

Sorry to hear you're having trouble. I had some problems with a virtual pet and it did take some time to get the problem resolved but the creator did provide a solution. SL is a great place to hurry up and wait.

You can file a ticket using the Help tab at the top of the screen. I do suspect that the Linden's will not have a solution for your exact situation but if filing an additional report will give you peace of mind, then that's what you should do.

 

I would continue to work with the creator until a satisfactory solution can be found.

Don't waste your time filing tickets to the Lindens, it is not their problem.

They do not handle consumer complaints about products you purchase from other residents.

Deal with the owner himself *edited for potential harassment*

But give him a reasonable amount of time to fix the problem.

  1. Hire a lawyer
  2. Pay them to file a court action against the company
  3. Pay them to require their RL contact details from LL
  4. Issue your demands to them RL
  5. Potentially: have them arrested and detained pending the court action
  6. Take them to court

RL law still works in SL.

Not worth it for the loss and damages you've incurred?  Then you have no real recourse, write it off to experience.

I paid FantacyLand lindens for tier (L$8120) and they claim I didn't pay. I studied my account transaction history and it show where I paid, but Sirux Mahoney CEO claims that the terminal gave me a refund. Commonsense tells me that if a terminal readout is in "black 'n white" then wouldn't the refun too be in "black 'n white, readable print"? The account transaction history only shows the payment, it doesn't show any refund. Concequencely I lost my land, my home, and out L$8120. I have copies of the transaction (Notecards) in my inventory. Thank you... Cole Feden
