How do I release my land so that I can downgrade my membership to basic?

Hello,

I am trying to downgrade my membership from Premium to Basic, as I cannot access Second Life on my current computer but do not wish to delete my account or keep paying while I cannot use it.

When I try to downgrade my membership, it tells me I must release my land before I can do this, however I cannot find how to do this without logging in to Second Life properly (which I cannot do as my computer doesn't support the software).

I'd be grateful if someone could let me know if there is a way of doing this just by logging into my account details but not into the game.

Maddy you will need to log in to do this. Maybe try a different viewer. Once you are logged in click World | About Land andnselect Abandon Land.

As Sean says, you'll have to be in world to abandon your land.  Maybe you can borrow a friend's computer and install a viewer temporarily?

Hi Maddy,

SLGo has a free trial, or a USD$1/hr pay-as-you-go plan. If you're able to use it, sign up for the free trial or purchase an hour, log-in, abandon your land and then cancel with SLGo.
