Need help with inventory/avatar issue

Hello Everyone,

I have been having issues where my avatar is a cloud and inventory is not loading fully since about two days ago, the first issue I had was about 3 days ago that my linden balance went blank, that resolved and then this happened, not sure if related, in anycase I have done everything in my hands, cleared cache, updated / reinstalled viwer, bla bla bla....I have formatted the laptop, have tried DNS changes, wireless and LAN cable...you name it as recommended in the reply to the ticket I opened with support.

Then today I stumbled across this JIRA ( https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-16907 ) and it describes my issue perfectly, I followed the recommendations offered and to no avail of course....but when I logged into the sim Pooley as recommended my avatar is now visible and my inventory loaded fully and can interact with it...but only on this sim. My question is what is wrong on my end and why does everything work on the sim Pooley owned by Gov Linden.

If anyone has knowledge of issues like this please head me in the right direction because support has not given me the answers I need, any and all help on this issue will be most welcome.

All is well now, apart from the ups and downs everyone seems to be experiencing these last days. My most heartfelt thanks to Scarlet Linden for her magical touch, she played around with my inventory and I am my marvelous sexy self again . The most common cause of issues like yours is a connection issue. Unfortunately, the issue can be in any combination of many places. Have you tried other sims owned by LL? Once you log in to the Pooley region, can you transport to another sim and and everything still works okay?

You can try the following two websites to check your connection. Go to http://www.speedtest.net to test your connection speed, then use http://www.pingtest.net to test the quality of your connection. (there is a link to it on the speedtest page)

If you connection looks good, speed above 1 meg and a rating of B or better on pingtest, I can not think of anything more you can do besides wait for somone to get to your ticket.

I have been having the same problems the last couple of days.  My experience is that Second Life periodically has problems like this, and there is nothing that I can do about them but wait for things to get better.

One part of your connection you can get at is your router and DSL modem.  Turn them off, wait 60 seconds, then turn them back on.

speed is a bit slow I was streaming a movie couldnt wait

Looking at this I doubt its the connection and as I said before everything was smooth as silk 3 days ago. I log into my sim and I am a cloud and no inventory or any other sim yet I log into Pooley and everything is fine, tp out of there and wear an item it wont load tp back to pooley and alas I am wearing the itme.

yes Scarlet Linden has helped me by reloading my inventory and its still the same.

This is exactly what I am fearing, I work for a private estate and have been receiving numerous complaints of residents that can not rezz, tp, script or save maybe I am paranoid but just maybe its not a connection issue.

Change your debug settings to prevent your avi from being a particle cloud by following this step when inworld:

Click on the Advanced Menu at the top of the screen. If it is not next to the Help menu, press ctrl+alt+D to make it show

Select Debug settings.....a small window will open. select "RenderUnloadedAvatar" from the drop down box and then set it to "True"
