And don't say it isn't because they are doing it and it's an actual IM not one of those scripted things in local chat.

It's entirely possible the person iming you is actually a different name that looks nearly identical to the one on your mute list.  I have seen people do that when they know they've been muted, and yes, it's annoying, and childish, but it happens.

Nope, it's the actual person. he was in a club I was in the profile name (display and resident) was exactly the same, and he has the little (muted) thingy above his head, he's grey on the radar ect.

I've never heard of a scripted object that can send IMs from a person, even scripted agents (bots) when muted can't IM you anymore.

Report it a bug , it shouldn't be happening.  In the meantime just close any IM's you get and ignore them.

The block is executed in the viewer.

Sometimes a setting doesn't "take" or execute when you log in.

Sometimes a simple relog fixes it.  Sometimes you have to "reset/toggle" it.

Many times after a crash I'll start getting IM's or notices from groups I have marked not to receive them when I first log back in.  A simple second relog always fixes that.

But if it's persistent, and nothing you can do appears to fix it, then a bug report would be called for.
