Shadow across eyes

Hi all,

 

So, I've noticed a strange shadow over a lot of my eyes.  Some packs I've bought, some freebies, etc.  The shadow is over the top portion of the entire eyeball.  Anyone know why this is and how to fix it?

That's the way some eyes are made, therefore, you can't fix them.  All you can do is wear eyes that aren't made that way.

An eyelid?  In that case stop blinking.

Hi Aradin,

As Dres says, some eyes (including those I wear) have shadowing on the whites. This attempts to mimic the shadow that naturally falls on the eyeball because it's recessed and shaded by eyelashes. This effect can look very nice at a distance, but becomes noticable up close. For this reason and others, I don't generally look closely at myself.

I figured as much, was just curious.  Kind of a bummer, but ah well.  Such is bread of any everyday Second Life.  Thanks.

Go out eye shopping. I'm very happy with my Fashism eyes. They have subtle shading in the whites, but look okay even up close...

On closer examination, part of the problem you are having is due to the eyes being rather large in proportion to the pupils. This exposes more of the shadowed whites.

If you are wearing old fashioned prim lashes that haven't fully rezzed, they can also cover the top half of your eye with what appears to be a shadow. I doubt that's happening in your case.

The problem is that your eyes (at least on this picture) seem to be unrealistic big. The eyes you wear are designed for much smaller eyes.
