To sell a vase without a plant/tree with it, should I do it or not?

I've been wondering about making a vase, and sell it on Marketplace. I started to think if selling just the vase, without a simple tree wiht it, would be fair.

So that s my doubt., would it be ok of me to sell a vase without any plants/trees?

Others sell rings without fingers or bracelets without arms or Lola's without condoms or trains without riders, I see no reason why you can't sell a vase without a flower.

There's no telling what a customer might want a vase for, other than flowers or trees.  Maybe a doorstop, or a funeral urn, or a lamp base, or maybe just an empty vase.  I think it's fine to leave it up to the owner's imagination.

Sure its ok.  Many time in SL and RL a vase is used on its own just for the decorative value of it.

Though what I have in mind is more of a planter box, and in marketplace all of them come with something in it.

I like the idea of including a generic tree to it, and give the option to use your own, but I don't know if its worth the extra work.

Doesn't necessarily have to be all that much work.

 

I'd go to the MP and find some inexpensive full perm plants with a license that allowed them to be used in my own builds. My reasoning for that would be that the minor expense would be offset by increased appeal the picture on the MP would have.

 

I'd then make it a selling point in its description that the plants that come with it could be removed and the planter landscpaed as the customer wished.
