invisible prim

all of a sudden I have an invisible prim on my sim. I don't know where it came from and can't hilight it  to see what it is or who it belongs to. Yoou can't walk thru it because it's not phantom. How do I get rid of it

Hit Ctrl-Alt-T to highlight transparent textures (and again to return to normal). The prim will appear as a translucent red thing and you should be able to locate it. Then right click and delete/return it. If it's a very large prim, it may be encroaching from a neighboring sim. If so, you'll have to contact your sim neighbor and have them remove it, or AR it for "encroachment".

In addition to Madelaine's correct answer, you may find it easier to select very large prims using:-

Advanced (Press Ctrl+Alt+D if you don't see this menu at the top of your Viewer) > Limit Select Distance

Making sure that it is unticked (disabled).

If this prim is a giant prim, it may be too far away to click if your Select Distance is being limited.

And then there are the few mysterious prims that do not show up when you highlight transparent things and cannot be selected.  Nobody knows where they come from, but anyone who has been in SL for a long time has probably tripped over a few of them.  The only way to get rid of them is to restart the sim.  Fortunately, LL does that for us every week or two as they update the servers, so if you have one of those mysterious prims, it should go away all by itself in a while.

also another thing to do is do an area search to fidn your prim and a red arrow will pop up andu can find it...from there u can retirn it back to yourself (i have done that too on invisibleprim i couldnt hightlight when doing CONTROL+ ALT +T)
