Is my skin too cheap?

The back of head flaps open, which is annoying as I like the skin, it only cost $300 is this why? is it poor quality? Do I a more expensive skin as this is the second skin of this price that has done the same thing

I have absolutly no idea how your problem looks like, as the description sounds unfamiliar to me. Judgeing a skin by its price won't lead to much results, as I have seen good and bad skins in every pricerange. A picture may help to judge that and help with your problem.

It sounds like you are wearing an alpha mask layer that is one part of a mesh hairstyle...but not the mesh hair object.  This will make your scalp vanish.

Go to Worn items.  Look for any item that has the symbol of a shirt with a grid pattern on it.  Remove it.

It's not the fault of the skin at all.

EDIT:  Now that I see a picture, I agree with Theresa...your hair base is not set correctly and what you are seeing is some "system hair".
