Optomising Characters Looks with the SL viewer?

HI i was just wondering how i would improve my characters Look with the viewer, i purchased dollarbie eyes and itt came with information on how to do so, however it is really outdated and the RGB 0.00 settings really dont exsist anymore.. or maybe im missing something.. can some one help me out :D!~

Here are the setting information it came with:

1) Open World --- > Environment Settings ---- > Environment Editor and click on Advanced Sky, then click on “New” and save under a filename you remember, for example avatar 1

2) go to the Atmosphere Tab and change the settings as follow:
Blue Horizon:     R: 0.12,        G: 0.12,         B: 0.16,         I: 0.16
Haze Horizon:    0.09

Blue Density:     R: 0.32,        G: 0.59,         B: 1.00,         I: 1:00
Haze Density:   0.65

Density Multiplier:     0.18
Distance Multiplier:   2.0
Max Altitude:              188

3) go to the Lighting Tab and change the settings as follow:
Sun/Moon Color: R, G, B and I at       0.86
Sun/Moon Position:      0.000

Ambient:     R:0.67,        G:0.64,        B:0.63,        I:0.67
              or   R: 0.70,        G: 0.67,       B: 0.66,      I: 0.70 (second setting is brighter)
East Angle: 0.16

Sun Glow: Focus: 0.10       Size 1.75
Scene Gamma:     1.08-1.15
Star Brightness:  0.00

4) go to the Clouds Tab and change the settings as follow:
Cloud Coverage:    0.13

5) if you are satisfied with the your custom present click the "Save" button

Those settings for windlight are somewhat outdated. They are probably supposed to make your avie's skin look nicer. So just chose one of the premade settings from your viewer. There ae usually several optimal skin settings available, depending on your viewer. And remember the effect will only be visible for you, others will see you according to their own WL settings.

What this has to do with your eyes will probably remain a riddle.

and of course such settings will destroy whatever immersive environment a sim owner has created for his region, and may well interfere with texturing other sim owners have created for their region to look the way they want with the default windlight settings.

Those settings too will only influence how you see yourself.

You don't need a particular windlight setting to improve your avatar. Just ensure that Ambient light is higher than Sun/Moon light. That will eliminate any nasty shadows and make it un-necessary to wear a facelight.

Goodness, if I had to go through all this.. I would spent the extra 99L and get some good eyes... JMHO though

and you realize, no one else is going to bother to do this just to see your eyes......

Now you know why they were dollarbies.  I suggest you look for different eyes.  As the previous poster said, no matter what you do they aren't going to look any different to anyone else but you.  I am sure you can find better eyes for under 100L or even free.
