iCade is absolutely right.  The same rules apply in SL that you are used to in RL. You have a choice between making a lot of money or making it easily.  You can't do both.  Easy ways to get money (sitting on camping chairs, playing games in clubs, ... ) don't pay very well.  There's not much need in SL for unskilled labor either, so you'll have a hard time finding people who want to hire a sales clerk, for example.  On the other hand, creating things (scripting, building, animating.... ) or performing (as a DJ, musician, or dancer ) pays fairly well, but takes a lot of time and skill, and usually means making an up-front investment in tools or inventory. Not easy.

Take a good look at the link iCade gave you to get a feel for what things people do, and then dig through the InWorld Employment forum to see if there's anything there that you are qualifed for. Maybe post an ad of your own there.

In the end, the best answer for how to make money is to get a part-time job in RL.  It doesn't even have to be a good job, because you can live like a king (or queen) in SL with what you'd earn in an hour selling hamburgers in RL.  And then you could spend all your in-world time relaxing too.  :smileywink:
