Getting avatar into blender

I am just getting started learning blender. One question that I haven't found in toutorials is how to get my avatar into blender. I assume that there is a way. Thanks.

i seem to remember seeing one in the knowledgeable. There was a video how to get it from sl in world to computer then how to set it up once in blender. I don't have the link you'll have to look in them hyper links in the creation knowledge.

Agreed, if the intention is to do anything at all with the SL avatar in Blender, this is a no brainer.  There are just so many features and the support is excellent.  Working without it is like cleaning dishes by first having to go to the well to fetch the water, collect wood to fuel a fire to heat it etc.  Avastar is a dishwasher by comparison.
