Since your avatar is just a month old i am assuming you are fairly new to secondlife.

Deliveries from the market place can go wrong at times. For several reasons. Server restarts which are normally announced and thus suggested not to buy anything at those times, or just internal errors from the marketplace website.

Right now we have deadline for switching from the so called magic box to the new outbox folder system for items being sold on the marketplace. And all merchants have to transfer their items to the new system. Thus a lot pending purchaises are happening right now. Not really a reason to believe that someone does it to actively 'keep' your money or to be mean.

In those cases, just check your transaction list and if the money really was taken from your account, contact the merchant of the item, tell them the delivery failed and ask for a resending of the purchaised object inworlds. That is the easiest solution.

Should the money have been taken from your account's balance but never reached the merchant. You can file a support ticket: https://support.secondlife.com/create-case/

You are a newbie and you have no idea what you are doing...so please keep your poor insulting words with you.

Its not the creators fault if a delivery fails, thats a known technical bug that can come up every now and then and instead of acting without thinking you should calm down, write a nice notecard to the person who sold the item and explain your problem. Then be patient and they resent it too you (ok, if you are as rude as you are here...they will probably simply ignore you anyway...)

Oh and don't waiste the space here if you are already not interested in answers or a solution.

Umm....Don't order stuff three times if you know from the first time that it's not working?

Marketplace deliveries fail; it's a flawed system. They're working on switching it to a LESS flawed system, but during the switch-over I'm not surprised that a lot of stuff is going missing. Instead of repeatedly placing orders, only for them to fail, try using the marketplace as a wishlist. Add the things you want to your cart, then teleport around inworld to buy them. It's more fun, you see more, and deliveries fail WAY less often.

For the items you didn't recieve, contact the merchant or merchants and ask for a redelivery. Make sure your notifications don't get regularly capped; you can only hold about 20 while you're offline. If you routinely log in with 20 notifications, try turning off group notifications in some groups temporarily, until you recieve the items.

Axeman,

It's notable that you wanted to help someone with regards to a non-delivery of their marketplace purchase in your previous post however, please learn about SecondLife & The Marketplace before offering uninformed advise. In fact, why don't you read completely the information on these links before posting in this forum again.

This is a Resident to Resident service with very experienced SL Residents volunteering their time to help others for no compensation. We take great pride in offering real solutions to common and uncommon issues.

To your particular issue - OK so you made a purchase and it failed to be delivered to you or as a gift to another. Well here is what can happen.

Did you  look at all the locations as to where goods may be delivered to you? These are as follows:

1) In a Folder at the bottom of your inventory, unpacked and ready to use.

2) In a Folder at the bottom of your inventory, in a Package needing to be rezzed and opened.

3) In a Folder in your Received Items area unpacked and ready to use or in a Package needing to be rezzed and opened.

4) As an object delivered to your Object Folder.

5) In rare cases, directly to your clothing / gesture / etc folder if it was sent to you as that class of object with no packaging.

Next did you set up the failure of the delivery?

1) Were you online at the time?

2) If not online, were your messages capped.? - Delivery will fail.

3) Did you see and accept the package when prompted about it as a message while online?

Please update your question with this additional information as follows: Select the Options drop-down menu to the right of your question and select Edit Question.

Postscript: I checked up on our OP Axeman55 born December 27, 2012 and it seems he made good on his decision to end his life here in SecondLife. He totally blanked out his existence. Carry on.
