Isabelli Anatine
First, you need to check out if the dress is rigged mesh or not, if the dress is igged mesh, it cant be resized, it will be edited with the skeleton of your shape., you mught need to edit the fat, muscles, breats and butt of your avatar to fit it. If it is not mesh, made of prims, you need to check the permissions, open yor inventory, if it says no mod, you cant resize it. Sometimes, the object says no mod, but is because some script inside of it is no mod, or the prim cant be modified, but have a resize script. Touch the prim and if a pop up appears you need to read and resize. Ig it doesent have a resize script and it is mod, you can right click on it, select edit on the drop down menu, chose strech and start to resize it. Codewarrior Congrejo
In addition to the former reply, these are all the parameters that can shape your dress if it's a rigged mesh: Section Shape parameters Body Height, Body thickness Head Head Size, Head Shape, Head Length, Face Shear Eyes Eye Size, Eye Spacing, Eye depth Torso Neck Thickness, Neck Length,Shoulders, Arm Length, Hand Size, Torso Length Legs Leg Length, Hip Width, Hip Length Shoes Heel Height, Platform Height All other shape parameters do not have an influence on it. For prim-dresses, just do it as Isabelli Anatine already described. Cheers, Code.
Kelli May
Adding to what has already been said... If you possibly can, make a copy before altering anything. It's easy even for experienced modders to mess up an item. It's much easy to edit clothes with your av on a pose stand. There are free ones available all over the place. Once you've got a good fit on a stand, move about a bit and see if anything else needs tweaking.
