Why do some groups have a liability fee to pay each month while others do not?

I am paying for one each month and do not know the reason.  Thank you.

The group liability is a debt, applied and splitted, among all the members of a group ( if the group owner ticked the "pay liability" option in the roles ).

For example, if a group-owned land spends 30 L$ weekly for the search, this amount will be splitted among all members with the liability option activated. 

If you don't want to pay, you need to ask to the owner to remove it or, simply, leave the group.

I'm not sure if Liability is on, or off, as a Default.

A large number of Group Owners, are not aware of how the system works.

Share group dividends and liabilities is on by default for all group roles. Some group owners only discover this after they sell their group land and the proceeds are split up between a few hundred group members.
