What is a group liability

I logged in and found I had -2 lindens I checked my account and have a charge for group liability for a group I had joined What is this please tell me

A group liability is usually a charge for continuing to be a member of the group - helping to support the costs of any land the group may own or other expenses.  Sometimes this is an error as the owner or other allowed member of the gorup did not uncheck the boxes related to accounting when they created the role abilities.

You might want to find out from the group owners/managers if this was an 'error' or an intended charge for all members who hold your same role.  Or, you can quit the group to not be charged further.
