One of my fave boots uses invisie prims. So can I get an alpha instead so I dont have to give them up or is that a no go.. and how do I get an alpha that will match, Im an air head when it comes to that stuff..

Many designers give away extra alphas with their garments that include shoe OR check the Marketplace, I have heard there are packs of generic free ones there. You can also make your own of course .

If the boots allow you to mod, you can rez them on the floor and right click Edit, Edit Linked, then select the invisible prim and click Unlink, Then delete it, For the alpha layer it depends on how big or small the boots are usually an alpha layer that only makes your feet invisible should work fine. Just try the ones you have from other boots or shoes.

There is a free set of foot alphas here with cutouts to fit lots of different shoes. Very handy to have.
