what means Reinstall your viewer in SL?

What means Reinstall your viewer in SL? where should i click ,on what? also should i install again SL?
Cuz..it happened before and i tried to log in with my account it didnt work,..it says "this name is occupied" or something like that...actualy SL asking from me to log in like New Avatar.. :/ i dont get this..

The viewer is the software used to access SL (Second Life is not stored on your computer, its on the servers from LindenLab). Reinstalling your viewer means to solve a problem by install this software new. Your account won't be damaged by that and you can just logg in back with your old account dates. No need for making a new account.

You probably should do a clean reinstall if you are having issues.  Here are detailed instructions on how to do that.

Much more important tho: Who is asking you to reinstall the viewer? And why should you do the reinstall? Is it corrupted? Is that particular viewer too heavy for your computer?

every time you need to reinstall your viewer you should always do a clean reinstall as per amethysts link viewer settings can become corrupt and they still will be with a straight uninstall reinstall
