Yes you may keep your linden home and go out and rent as many other parcels as you want from someone else Have fun!

 

EDIT: to add that you only violate LL contract if you fail to pay your premium account fees. Other than that go out and do as you wish with your own money.

Yes you can altho you will pay tiers seperately to the estate owner, instead of Lindenlabs, You can keep your mainland home, or buy extra land on mainland and rent that out. or buy land from an estate owner and rent that out without it raising your lindenlabs Mainland Billing.

That's the main reason I haven't ever bothered to become a Premium member.  I never wanted a Linden Home, and I don't want a home on the mainland, so those perks don't offset any of the membership fee for me.  If you value your access to Premium sandboxes and Live Chat enough to pay for them, though, by all means do it.  You can always rent anywhere and you can buy private sims or estates.  You just can't apply your Premium tier waiver to them.
