suzie2200
How do I dance on a pole? Is there a HUD and if so what do you recommend? I searched the marketplace but didn't find anything. Thanks.
0 valerie Inshan
Most of the poles dont come with a hud. Clicking on it (or just "sit" on it) generally pops up a menu allowing to choose from several (or random) poses. I personally would not recommend a hud-controlled one. 0 Rolig Loon
Dancing is the last thing you have to think about when you are on a pole. After you click to "sit" on it, the pole does all the work. Your job is to relate to the customers with witty repartee, emotes, and whatever other tricks you can employ. If you'd like to see what dancing on a pole feels like, visit Sine Wave Island or any other major animation dealer and try out the demos.
0 Lindal Kidd
Just right click the pole, select Sit...or some poles will substitute the word "Dance" in the Sit menu item's position. Accept the pole's request to animate your avatar, and turn off your AO if you are wearing one. Left click the pole to get its menu of dances, and choose the one you want. You can change it at any time using the same procedure. To stop dancing, call up the pole's menu and choose Stop. Or, right click your avatar and choose Stand, or click the Stand button near the bottom of your screen. Lots of clubs restrict their dance poles to club employees. If that's the case, you will not be able to use poles at that club. If you would like a job dancing there, contact the club owner and speak with them. The mechanics of using a dance pole are the easiest thing about being a dancer in Second Life...anyone can do it. What's harder is learning how to emote in text, flirting with the customers and teasing tips out of them.
