All rent boxes are not created equal, so the best way to tell is to read the instructions that came with yours.  If you have lost the notecard, ask the merchant for a copy.

Yikes!  Didn't you just ask how to get land for your new house?  Now you are going to rent it out?

Don't take this the wrong way, but you are moving too fast.  Before you become a landlord, you should really understand how Second Life land works, and how SL businesses work.

Rent some land for a month or two, put your house on it, and learn how the land settings work, how to decorate and furnish your house, how to budget prims, how to deal with intruders/visitors, and so on.  After you have some experience with that you can start thinking about renting land to others.
