Aurelia Chauveau
Hi GuysReally frustrated, because today for the life of me any viewer I use (including the SL Viewer) crashes if I want to upload something. Clicking on upload - image it immediately crashes. I have uninstalled viewers, removed all my settings, restarted my computer, re-downloaded new viewers, installed new viewers, restarted computer, cleared everything. Still I crash when I want to upload something.Does anyone have an idea why this is happening? Worked fine yesterday!ThanksAurelia Chauveau. Elite Runner
Had the same experience. Did you upgrade to Windows Live Essentals 2012? If so, close down the viewer, uninstall Windows Live essentals and associated compartments, relog to SL and then try to upload again. Also, are you using Windows 8 or Windows 7? Thinkerer Melville
See this article: Crash on image download or upload, a fix As suggested by a previous poster , this sounds like a problem caused by installing Windows Live Essentials. More specifically by SkyDrive. I had such a problem. Fixed it by removing SkyDrive only. I suggest that you restart the machine after removing any software. Norton Burns
if you are comfortable with editing Registry, there is also this option... Start regedit (start → run → type “regedit” → hit enter) Navigate to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\explorer\ShellIconOverlayIdentifiers In the left panel you should see 3 SkyDrive keys (1, 2 and 3) Delete all 3 of them Reboot

Summer Siemens
Hello avatars. I had same problem with uploading. As soon as I click Upload, my SL crashes. I am running Windows 7 Professional 64-bit. Yes, I also installed Windows Live Messenger and whatever else you've all mentioned. However, I didn't have to unstall anything. Try the following: Go to your shortcut icon. Right click it, Go to Properties. Click Compatibility tab. Under Compatibility mode, put checkmark in the box Run this Program in Compatibility Mode for Windows XP (Service Pack 3). I also checked box for Run this Program as an Administrator. Good luck. This worked for me.
