Have any of you noticed that some scuplts and textures show in viewer2 but not firestorm, also I have found viewer 2 won't close since the last update, but what concerns me is that if I use viewer2 to make things and then log in with firestorm some textures are always grey and some sculpts are always balls, anyone else having the same problems?

I ment the latest SL viewer didn't know it was called 3 i still call it 2, it wont work as it should since the update a few days ago, it wont close and crashes and never send s a bug report, it did a few days ago, plus in fire storm i can't use touch, it don't work for just the av that makes things but does for the others, as if the viewers are giving lucinda special treatment, lol.

Just tried another machine that only has firestorm and not the new sl viewer, and fire storm works great, so it would seem that it is the new sl viewer that is only doing it to the one av, on the big machine I can run more than one av in more than one viewer, well could until the last update, seems you can't have the sl viewer on the same machine as others or things won't work.

Check your LOD (Levelof Detail) setting in FS. Make sure it is at it's highest setting.  I have also read about people setting it higher than 4 in the debug settings, "rendervolumeLODfactor."  Whether this actually works I wonder about.  I've been meaning to ask the "SL Techies" if this really can force the detail above "4."

By default, Firestorm and Phoenix install into their own folders so you shouldn't have a conflict with them sharing the same cache.  What I do find experientially when I switch between Viewers is that often it requires a relog after my initial log in for things to run smoothly. I think that it is just the nature of things.

The Viewer Version numbers is confusing now,  Why LL did not renumber the current official viewer as Version 4 like Firestorm did I don't understand because what we have now is this:

SL Version (Firestorm Version)

Viewer 1  (Phoenix)  -  The original Viewer

Viewer 2 (Firestorm 2) - The oft maligned SL viewer - Pre Mesh.

Viewer 3  (Firestorm 3)  -  Introduced Mesh Support

Viewer 3  (Firestorm 4) -  Flexible User Interface (FUI). -  The introduction of FUI was a big enough change to the Viewer that LL not renumbering  the Version seems odd.  Firestorm did the right thing because it avoids a lot of confusion.
