Really Irritating Inventory Problem. Any help?

I tried to change my skin and EVERYTHING in my clothes file decided to attach. At first I couldn't even get it all off. I'd try and Firestorm (which is the viewer I'm using) locked up and crashed.  Then FINALLY I get it to where it looks as though I'm nude again BUT in my current outfit file I still show EVERYTHING.  And when I click on those items individually I can't remove them.  And every time try to change something on my avatar again all the clothes appear.  

 

Any ideas how to fix this? I cleared the cache.  So this is not the solution.  Any other ideas would be greatly appreciated.

in firestorm

keyboard: ctrl alt d    for advanced menu

then choose develop menu

in develop menu -> avatar -> character test -> test male

This will revert you to the first avatar (newbee) you was the first time

logout, clear cache, login and let the inventory rebuild (typein search a letter, ex. a)

after rebuild, relog and then add your skin, clothes etc...
