How does one put up land for Auction?

  One the SL Land page you see parcels up for Auction but how do you list them? There is no info on that at all. Anyone?

land usually goes to auction when someone abandons their mainland parcel you can't set your own land for auction

Back when Jack Linden was still around, there was an objective to make a resident land auction. As I recall, it was going to be somehow related to Marketplace (perhaps only organizationally; Jack had both Land and Marketplace under him for a while).

Since then, the value of Mainland has steadily fallen, so there may not be so much interest in such a page anymore.  The standard practice now seems to be to just abandon a parcel and buy a different one, they're so inexpensive. (On the other hand, some of the Linden auction parcels still get bids with an opening of L$0.5/sq.m.)

Or they may have abandoned the idea as Marketplace broke in more and more ways.

Or they simply may not have anyone who still remembers that was ever a plan.
