Sub0000hannah
I try to make a tshirt with different colors on the sleeves , one color for the left and one color for the right. I hope there are someone who can tell me how to do thatthanks for answers
Coby Foden
It's not possible at all because the avatar template (UV map) has only one arm. So both arms in avatar will look exactly identical.
Jennifer Boyle
You could use two of the same layer or two different layers, and make the whole shirt on one. On the other, you could make one sleeve with the rest transparent and wear it over the first one. It would be easier to use if you used different layers, as the appearance would not be dependent on the order in which they were worn.
Coby Foden
"... one color for the left sleeve and one color for the right sleeve ..." How would it be possible with only one arm in the avatar template? I understand that it would be possible, for example: • the shirt is red • both sleeves are blue But to have: • the shirt is red • left sleeve is blue • right sleeve is green Impossible as far as I understand anything about it. When you put something on the single arm in the template, it will appear on both arms of the avatar.
Jennifer Boyle
You are exactly right. I guess I had an attack of acute stupidity. I hope it doesn't become chronic.

Not necessarily... While it's not possible with a single shirt layer to make a shirt with different coloured sleeves, there's nothing to stop someone making TWO shirts as you described and then wearing two shirt layers to comprise the one T Shirt. The other way is to make it as a mesh object.
Shelby Silverspar
it still wouldn't work - you can't make just one sleeve transparent, so any color on one would appear on the other. Using attached prims would be the only way.
