imac with good graphics?... what imac, what graphics?

what viewer?

You can easy get this info by copy a part of the system info from the "help" in your viewer.

Hi Acer,

Is this something that started happening recently? Do you hear the fans spool up before the crash? Have you tried another viewer?

One wild guess... Dust can compromise your iMac's cooling, causing the graphics processor (or CPU if you have integrated graphics) to overheat. Mac OS will first spool up the fans, then slow down the GPU clock in an attempt to maintain a safe operating temperature. If the GPU clock is slowed enough, SL will crash.

Alwin i have a new Imac OX El Capitain graphics nvidia ge force 512 mb i get booted every few mins on all sims
