Elvis Garfield
Hi,I searched this site and other lsl sites and alot of google but i can't find a CLEAR answer/scriptI am making a hud with offcourse a root prim and alot of buttons linked to it (transparant buttons). What i want is that when i press a button that it light up with a glow/light (or texture?!), so basicly youcan see its turned on/pressed/touched...and offcourse going off again... i have no clue about scripting, i can chage scripts if i read somewhere what and how todo it, i saw the Automatic Glow script, but no idea what to change. Not even on Marketplace i can find a script, if it can be done without a script, please enlighten me:) Ty
Freya Mokusei
All of this can be achieved with llSetLinkPrimitiveParams, a derivative function of llSetPrimitiveParams. One minor point - glow (PRIM_GLOW) doesn't work on HUD objects. If you're looking for pre-written scripts, you'll be wanting to either hire a scripter or ask in the Wanted forum. This sub-forum is for help in writing your own code.
steph Arnott
Just put a basic light on/off script in the button, there are better ways, but that is the simplist else you will have to use primprams etc ADDED; BTW glow does not work with HUDs

Rather than playing with light and glow, perhaps the most obvious change to make to HUD buttons would be PRIM_FULLBRIGHT, though I guess some HUD objects might have this setting enabled permanently. steph Arnott
Thankyou. Yes full bright or change the colour. I not into multi prim HUDs, rather just script it all in one prim. Horses for courses i guess. Made no sense to the OP so deleted it.
ObviousAltIsObvious
HUD attachments are forced to fullbright, so that is not an option either. color or texture changes are the viable options.
