I dropped an item and it disappeared out of my inventory but didn't appear in world

I was at a shopping mall and bought a gacha item.  I tried to drop it next to me to get the item out but I received a message that I wasn't allowed to drop items in the sim.  The item disappeared out of my inventory and it's not in the lost and found section either, my item is just completely gone now. Please help!

Don't panic.  Often the item will be back in your inventory the next time you log on.

if you really want to unbox something you bought and a area is "no rez" simply add the box to your body, choose "edit", go to the content tab, and drag it in your inventory.

Most boxes these days are already scripted to wear/touch and copy to inventory
