Flying with "F" or "Home"

Everything I've seen online says that FLY mode should be controlled by EITHER "F" or "Home".  For some GODforsaken reason, triggering the Fly toggle with the "F" key works on ALL of my avatars, but ONE!  =O  How do I fix it to allow that ONE avatar to use the "F" key to be able to fly?

I already use WASD controls to move, which is why I want to use the "F" to fly.  The "Home" key or PgUp is nowhere near what I use to move.

The WASD movement keys and "F" to fly works on every OTHER character I log in on the same computer, except this one.

On the General page in Preferences, select the option to use ASWD .

Something mst be designed terrible wrong, the force you to enable to bad WASD keys to use as example the M key for mouselook. why a bad implementation lik tnis i don't know. lucky mousewheel works. but the better fix it.

 

i always go fly by pressing the PG UP key until yonstart flying. so you dom't need to enable the bad WASD keys.

For the affected avatar, check if you have an active gesture bound to the F key. If you do, deactivate it.
