Intan dancing issue

Why does one specific avatar always have trouble dancing with our Intan when all others have no trouble? We have asked most everywhere with no result.

The avatar in question never receives the "Animate Avatar?" question after first clicking for the dance balls. Other single and couple dancers do not report this problem.

We have checked scripts, settings, etc., to no avail.

Hi Mireille,

It's possible the avatar in question has muted/blocked the dance giver. Have them check their block list. Or they can right-click on the Intan and select "Unblock" (or "Manage->Unblock") if it has been blocked.

If that av has been using the Firestorm viewer, check to see what is in Preferences >>> Firestorm >>> Protection.  You'll see that

 

• Revoke Permissions: Removes an object's permission to animate or control your input. If this is not done, the object retains permission to animate your avatar indefinitelyhttp://wiki.phoenixviewer.com/preferences_firestorm_tab#fn__1' target="_blank" id="fnt__1">:
  • Never (original behaviour): Objects will retain permission to always animate your avatar.
  • Revoke on SIT: Revokes permission when you sit on the object.
  • Revoke on STAND: Revokes permission when you stand up from sitting on the object.
  • Revoke on SIT and STAND: Revokes permission when you either sit or stand.

 

If either the second or the fourth opption are selected, the Intan cannot animate your av.

I had not even thought of this as a possibility, but I can see that it certainly could be the reason for this avatar - especially since he is the only one reporting the problem. I will have him check this.

We will have him check this; I know that he does use FS, at least part of the time.
