  1. Welcome noob!  Now take the time to tell us how you feel about the "welcome area" or how about taking that little raft of yours and trying to cross a sim border?  How long did it take you figure out those prim trees suck down the prims?  Lastly....do you have permission to use those textures or are they your own creations you uploaded?

SL hasn't evolved enough to keep my interest since your new it will be a couple of years before you see the stagnent state of affiars and then you may try to fix them.

No I am not nearly as hopeful or jolly as some seem here I used to be but the LL managment LIED too many times for my comfort zone to appreicate or respect at this point.

Take a good hard look at the underbelly of sl Ron and then tell me and every other parent SL is ok for 16 year olds.  Might want to check the state laws of CA.  first.

That brings up an excellent point.  At one time I had shortcuts for 4+ different viewers and a dozen SL related programs on my desktop.  I woke up one morning and realized that SL was taking up too much space...in many ways.  The multi viewers confused and turned off a lot of ppl.  Then came drama from the emerald viewer team/LL.  Then came secuity issues yet again.

Viewer 2 is for the casual gamer not the builder.  Unfortunatly what always drew me to SL was the ability to create;  meaning; being forced to use Viewer 2 in any way is a show stopper.  I haven't created or even logged into SL in Months;  nor do I have any interest in doing so until there are clear signs that LL is not in fact a sinking ship.  I see one bad decision after another these days and clearly no further rights to my own creations.  Why would I support LL.

What LL needs is a resident run griefence board to resolve in world business disputs because they sure as hell don't have a handle on the situation nor their own Jira system.  Putting issues in the hands of a random set of users to decide what is fair between disputing parties; seems to me the only way to resolve many of our issues.

More so there should be a reward system in place for those that participate.  $L100 is nothing yet it is a sign of good faith from LL to a very unhappy user/player base.

IMO I would like to see the residents in a leadership position where there is some fairness in the policy decisions because as it stands today everything Second Life; seems to favor LL.

More so this thread alone should tell LL and their new CEO all is most certainly not well. No matter what type of spin they try to put on things, ppl are no longer buying it.  It's time for some positive change that benifits the customers or they will most certainly continue to walk out the door.  Bad press is trumped by bad word of mouth when it comes to the internets,  believe that.

  2. You know what bother me?  Philips cameo appearance,  as if it would bolster the troops enough to ignore all that is wrong with SL these days.  Morale is at an all time low and LL continues to do as they please nearly begging to be a flop in 2011.  That is a damn shame in so many ways.  Like many I thought he would show up straighten out the company and give us all some hope.  Instead I too am more convinced than ever that LL is setting it self up for a buyout or a shut down.  Ignoring your user base is NEVER a good idea.

Grid merge = Holy hell bad press is only a matter of time now.

Firing Lindens with no explination = Wow who would want to work for you now.

Forcing your clients to use a viewer they absolutly hate = Good way to move them off your grid and onto some Open Sim projects.

Search is screwed = Search is screwed!

Economy = Oh for goodness sake L$ = US$ I am sorry LL but you are also accountable to the IRS.

I am glad M LInden was fired he didn't know what the hell he was doing.  I am sorry Philip didn't stick around to lead us to better times.

Will SL survive? I doubt it. No one seems to be running the company.
