Herbert Thepervert has many manifestations. The most memorable lately has been the 'art' loving neighbour, who completely filled the walls of his home with photographs of lady bottoms, posed in uncomfortable positions and set to *full bright*, and then obviously ran out of prim allowance when it came to curtains.

Oooooh, I may have encountered *that* one in Newbrooke…

  2. I don't mention LouChara frequently because their pieces are generally quite high in the LI department... but with that proviso, here are this weekend's sale items: the fireplace in the first photo, with all linked decor as shown, is 19 LI $60; the chair is 4 LI PG $90. The fireplace in the second photo is 12 LI with all linked decor, $66. (Note: There is no indication that either fireplace has an on/off script for the flame, and the volume of the crackling fire is very low. Also, the 3 LI HOME sign is not included in the sale, unless it's bundled with the sofa.) Sofa 11 LI PG $75; large armchair 8 LI PG $77; trunk table with lamp 8 LI $60 (non-working demo). Arbor 14 LI PG sits 2 $99. The Kali living room set costs $400 - individually priced, the pieces total $860. The sofa is 14 LI PG, $299 on its own and the 2 LI rug is $99. The pictures wouldn't look out of place in a Sakura. The Sea Breeze bench set is only $50 - PG bench, netting and lights are 19 LI (bench doesn't rock) and the oars and neon sign are a further 5 LI.

  3. Still keeping my fingers crossed for one or two single-storey models in this theme; would love the combination of a Doyle-like footprint in the Logland setting. (My former log home on a lake that was one of the most-chased locations upon release has been empty for the best part of a year... I'd snap it up with a one-month Premium Plus upgrade given the option for a slightly smaller house.)

  4. I saw this mentioned somewhere in the forum, but there wasn't a picture or link, so... spotted at BlueMoon Enterprise's store at the Shop & Hop. Senra Jamie and LaraX; I haven't tried it.

Frigga got bounced out of the Shop & Hop, so I went back to BMe with an alt - the top is cuter than it appears in the poster, being asymmetric. It fits well over all of Jamie's skirts and pants; the denim skirt only works with Jamie's halter top, though.

Giving feedback to the moles about Belli is like giving feedback to the architect of a VERY large apartment complex that you live in.   It's unreasonable to expect that your individual feedback will have any impact;  but it's still worthwhile to publicly give the feedback, in case a LOT of residents agree.  Cf. forum feedback may have contributed to the decision to add the tremendously popular treehouses to Fantasseria.

Another likely example - adding 512 house styles to the list of available styles on 1024 parcels in Newbrooke. (For which I am personally very grateful!)

UPDATED FOR THOSE NEW TO SENRA

You can use the freebie mesh eyes already in your inventory that 'belong' to the more recent non-Senra starter avatars: Library > Clothing > Initial Outfits, as well as those included in the Senra folder.

UPDATE: IGNORE THE FOLLOWING PARAGRAPH - when the Senra avatars were updated to V.1 from Beta, a new item appeared in the inventory list under Body > Nails. Add the 'box' and then add one of the tattoos. (See screengrab)

Regarding the fingernails/toenails, wear one of the 6 sets of nails provided in the Senra > Jamie folder, then go to the MP and pick up the free nail fix from Sweet's (https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/Sweets-Free-Bake-on-Mesh-Quick-Nail-Cover-Fix/18140945). Add the Sweet's layers (best to wear hands and feet separately), then right-click your avatar: Appearance > Edit Outfit Parts > Sweet's BoM Quick Nailfix Hands and play with the supplied tint to get it to match your skin. Save the tint you use to your color swatches and then SAVE a new version of the tattoo with a different name (I add EDITED after Hands, but if you expect to change your skin frequently I suggest adding the skin's name/shade). Then do the same for the feet, choosing the saved color swatch as a starting point. (I find that the feet need to be slightly darker than the hands.)

While you're in the MP, pick up the free and almost-free packs of Alpha layers. It's initially a pain to try out lots of combinations, but given the size of your avatar, you should be able to make a lot of Lara/Maitreya clothing wearable, as long as you can live without spaghetti straps. (Note that the real problem is that Jamie's shoulders are lower than those of most other mesh bodies, so tops other than turtlenecks/cowlnecks don't look right unless covered by hair.)

Bimbette BoM Alpha Layers Kit (free): https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/Bimbette-BakesOnMesh-Alpha-Layers-Kit/22703997

Blimey Alpha Layers Pack - BoM/System Layers (free): https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/Blimey-Alpha-Layers-Pack-BoM-System-Layers/21281073

    *LBD* BOM/System Alpha Layers ($1): https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/LBD-BOM-System-ALPHA-LAYERS-add-UNPACK/21957856 or https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/LBD-BOMSystem-Alpha-Layers-Full-Perm/18683103 (these may still be free in-world - I haven't checked)

Sweet's Pants and Skirts Alphas (free): https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/Sweets-Free-Pants-Skirts-Alpha-Kit/18485998

Also, keep in mind that the alpha layers included in the Senra folder can be used for non-Senra clothing.

  7. As someone who's been in SL since 2007, but never considered moving beyond a system avatar until a few months ago, I agree with @Theresa Tennyson - start with Senra Jamie. Not only will old skins in your inventory work, but many of your clothes will as well if you make use of alpha layers. (See my post here for info on Alpha layers and other Senra-related stuff:

    )

I recommend looking through that entire thread, keeping in mind that the Senra avatars have been updated so some of the complaints and issues highlighted during earlier posts have been addressed, including the problem with eyebrows moving when the avatar blinks, the overly-prominent pout, and the need to use a workaround for the fingernails and toenails.

    Great!

How long did it take to get the head like that-

Thanks! About 15 minutes. (I'd already worked on 4 or 5 alts, so had figured my way around the LeLutka basics and knew what bits were modifiable via the basic EDIT SHAPE sliders with the non-system heads. What took the time was swapping out 4 different heads to find one that gave me the profile I wanted.)

  9. A lovely but high-LI item is on sale at Bricolage - this 16 LI daybed has texture change options for the 2 larger pillows and the throw, $75 for PG or A. The two faded carpets are 1 LI each, $75 for both. The 2 LI botanical image is also $75. (Buying whichever sofa and the other two items separately is cheaper than buying the fatpack.) I like the sketching and reading animations. Oops! Correction: The carpets are $75 each!

  10. Another favorite store that's currently re-organizing itself is THS - The Home Store. Here's a new item for you rancheros, or others with rustic-style homes - not a sale item, the entire ranch console table set costs $249. The wagon wheel is 2 LI, and the table with all linked decor shown is 11 LI. (The lamp works, and I think Annabell is adorable!) For those of you with more refined tastes, the crates of champagne are $199.

As to sales, in time for Chinese New Year, THS is offering these vases - peacock in 2 colors, 6 LI $100, fish in 2 colors 5 LI $100. (I bought these a couple of years ago - by unlinking and removing the flowers, and shrinking them, each vase was 2 LI, 3 LI when linked together.)

  11. Group gifts at Finca - group is free to join, all gifts $1 each, refunded. The laptop, 2 linked photo frames and stack of books are 1 LI each. The umbrellas are 2 LI, boots with tulips 2 LI, rolled newspaper 1 LI. Note that this is a NEW LOCATION for Finca, but some of their inventory is still at the old location.

This link should take you to this weekend's sale items - either Finca's owners live in the Antipodes, or they're trying hard to coax summer into an early start! The daisy vases are 2/1 LI, $60 for both, and the strawberry cake is 1 LI for the single serving, 2 LI for the cake on the stand, $60.
