There are so many nice places to live! Yes, have a good look around before you buy a parcel - keeping in mind too, that empty land could be filled with something awful any day (or maybe not....) and if there are nice builds around it already, they might go away.. that's just life. But if you look carefully, you will find nice places that you will enjoy. good luck! oh, and be sure to check this forum on the Mainland for Sale page, too!

not sure the original question has actually been answered, so I will put in my 2 cents. When buying Mainland, you should plan to take it pretty much as is - usually you can only go 4 meters up or down, and sea level is usually 20 meters or more below the land. That being said, you can always put an "island" on the water or a house on stilts. If it is a nice spot, don't let it being under water bother you.
