    Yes they do. Not every time, but I've had a number of popups from them. I did not click them, ride them or anything else. All I was doing is standing near them.


    If you read through the messages here, you'll see a number of us aren't saying we love them or we hate them. We're saying it was fine, but they're getting out of control. I know I'd rather work with you than put in an AR. But it doesn't come across as though you want to work with anyone to fix the problems. Just cutting the numbers in half and looking into why they message bystanders would be a good start.

    So if hundreds of people all began running road tracker tip jars cluttering up and ruining the regions then LL might take action to forbid it.

     

     

    Other than that I expect LL to ignore it. Politics is politics.

    No problem at all. The user decides what jiggles. If wearing prim stuff then don't jiggle. Unlike the TPVs that force jiggle on others without permission.

     

    Creators can include physics settings with products.

     

    This is not an issue with the way LL is doing it right.

     

    As for non prim stuff? Well things will stretch but clever skilled creators will figure out what to do fast.

    I saw a dip in March. Things are improving now.

     

    • Get the delivery system going.
    • Get us the review notification emails.
    • Give us by item email notifications. Or at least no notifications on free items.
    • Encourage the viewer people to get the avatar physics out ASAP as that will help more than anything else across the board.

    If LL dropped tier then people would simply grab a little more up to their existing limits. What people are comfortable paying in disposable income, and SL is 100% disposable income (because nothing in SL actually exists), does not change if the prices are lowered. Just more stufff is got up to the same disposable income level.

    For LL to do remarkably better requires the world economy to improve. Period. An unlikely possibility given the midievalites are going to take over the world and put Earth back in the stone age.

    Most likely LL doesn't really care what land operations think. This is to turn mainland into nothing but a giant breedable pet farm. So you can be lagged out on mainland because LL won't implement fair resource limits because the pets would die or you go to  a well managed estate operation. Or buy your own island. No matter which way you go, as long as you keep paying tier, LL wins.

    Basically mainland is going to become an even worse lag ghetto. But hey since, by the end of the year, we won't need stores anymore, the need for land by content creators will become minimal. So we can keep 95% of sales and be happy. LL focuses on facebook folks that like 3D pet farms. Everyone makes money except the facebook imports that are 100% consumers. All is good right?

    Basically those interested in keeping up with current events need to try to pick as many User groups as they can handle and try to attend the meetings or at least read the transcripts.

    A suggestion I think needs to be formulated and put forth is that someone be appointed to try to create a weekly digest of all solid info from all user groups and have an easy to read summary of what all is going on that is public (not "sekret"). It is kind of hard to read all those transcripts without ADD kicking in.

    gpu_table.txt shows:

    ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3400        .*ATI.*Mobility *HD *34.*            1        1

    The first 1 means your video card is only supported at the lowest graphics setting. Recommend you try to find a v1.x viewer that has noneof the fancy stuff. Since LLchanged policies and the old school viewer is nolonger supported your best bet is tobuy a new video card. Try an nvidia 240 gtx or better. They are inexpensive these days.

    SL says my video card is unsupported.

    In the secondlife program directory is a file called gpu_table.txt. Open it with wordpad. Scroll down till you find this line:

    ATI Radeon HD 4600                .*ATI.*Radeon HD *46.*                3        1

    Perhaps your card is misfiled in that file and it should read

    ATI Radeon 4600HD                .*ATI.*Radeon *46.*  HD              3        1

    or

    ATI Radeon 4600 HD                .*ATI.*Radeon *46.*HD                3        1

    Or something like that. However it doesn't matter. Run SL and set your graphics to high or ultra and carry on. Tune the graphics with the advanced controls for the best experience.

     

    btw that 3 in that line means todefault to high graphics setting.

    In my opinion... There are issues that have a much farther reaching impact than forum badges to worry about. I would rather put my energy on community activism and organizing for issues that have actual importance to the success of the entire platform. Like Privacy and things like Jira voting (albeit a lost cause).
