That is for static meshes. Not avatar meshes. Think of mesh upload in SL as sculpties that don't look like melted plastic. has nothing at all to do with actual avatars. SL would have to be rewritten for actual avatar meshes with boning, etc. That is a pipe dream for SL technology.

You don't.
You modify your textures to compensate for the distortion.

Oh, wow! So they're finally going to allow us to import previously created models? That would be wonderful! Is there any estimate as to when we get to see this become an actual feature?
It is all top SLekret. And they ain't talkin yet.

Anyone can add the double attach spots to any sl client. See: http://modularsystems.sl/index.php?option=com_myblog&show=emerald-information-on-secondary-attachment-points.html&Itemid=23
The issue is they can be used for "undesireable effects". So I doubt LL will ever do it. All it requires is changing an xml file.

The answer to the question is: Not on LL servers.
Now if you were to have asked about "ethical" well that would have been an interesting debate.

ummm..
If you were downloading the right file from the right source it automatically fetches and installs the right files from the right source. better uninstall everything and then change all your passwords pronto.
Hopefully they won't mind me quoting this:
Voice in Windows should be downloaded by the installer. There is no voice pack for Macintosh at this time.http://modularsystems.sl/downloads.html
Use at your own risk.

On the left you have some menus. That is the extent of what you can do on the SL website.
If you want to change your address you have to file a support ticket as Linden Lab does not allow customners to update their own address data for some reason.

I'm not inworld but instead at work, checking my email when this message arrives:
You have received a message from Second Life: Your 2 objects have been returned to your inventory lost and found folder near parcel 'Home of Bob and Ardra' at Shangri-La because it went off-world.
My home, went off-world? Dayum you'd think i lived in a trailer park and forgot to take the wheels off. Until I have time to check out my house with legs, anyone have any suggestions? Things that make you go hmmmm...
What is your question that you are asking in Second Life Answers?

Inworld issues. Please do not make $L transactions or rez no-copy objects for the moment. See http://tinyurl.com/ya95zr3
The usual. LL is moving the chess pieces around a lot these days.

There is a feed. http://secondlife.com/community/blotter-rss.php
Personally I think it makes SL look bad. I would drop this reporting feature were I in charge.

Ah I managed to find it at last.
Remotely monitoring conversations, posting conversation logs, or sharing conversation logs without consent are all prohibited in Second Life and on the Second Life Forums.
Other actions -- posting such logs on web pages, emailing them, or printing them out and posting them on utility poles in the "real world" -- are all actions beyond the scope of the Second Life Terms of Service.

Can someone find the part of the TOS that says you can get banhammered for re-posting other people's IM logs unless they agree to it? I can't find it but I presume its somewhere in there.

Residents are entitled to a reasonable level of privacy with regard to their Second Life experience. Sharing personal information about a fellow Resident --including gender, religion, age, marital status, race, sexual preference, and real-world location beyond what is provided by the Resident in the First Life page of their Resident profile is a violation of that Resident's privacy. Note that this does not apply off of Linden Lab server space as per the KB article on it. You will have to search help for that yourself since posting links to the KB has never worked.

- Make a copy of your shape and name it no butt.
- Wear the no butt shape.
- Set butt to zero.
- Save.
- Wear system skirt.
- No longer so bad.
- Fine tune to suit if butt too flat with skirt.

There is only one way to rid teh interwebz of what you call morons. That way is to close teh interwebz.
I.e.; thar be no shortage of well heeled "morons" that have plenty of money and credit cards, do not care who knows who they are IRL because not only do they know where the legal boundaries are, they have lawyers and your basic joe plumber on the internet doesn't.
So even if DNA was required to log in the people you call morons would still be there taking their schadenfreude at will.

What viewer client are you using. Have you ever used a third party viewer like Emerald? If so which ones?

I won't get into any labeling or stereotyping but in general the solution is to deny attention seekers what they seek: attention

Homestead regions are hard capped to 20 avatars and scripts run about 4 times more slowly. They are for light use. Great for a personal island residence. Or for a lightly visited store that does not use networked vendors.
Not sure how "adult" equipment will do on a homestead. Someone that uses such things would have to report results.
Edited to add: A full region supports 15,000 prims. A homestead region supports only 3750 prims.
-
You forgot Pregnant vampires and STDs.
-
Took a bit of Q&A to get to the real symptom but glad we got there.
-
I doubt that any rezzed prims, sculpty or oversized, have anything to do with anything except client performance. They just sit there.
When is the last time you disabled scripts, restarted the region, and looked at the stats before enabling scripts and then watching the stats?
If you had any of what is called phantom scripts (scripts that are still running but the agent carrying them left the region) the disabled scripts restart should clear them out.
Another factor is who you share the region host with. When I manage to get my sim on a "good host" I am loath to do another restart because I might wind up an a different host with a couple of unmanaged or overused regions that drives my sim into the sink hole.

Go view statistics in what amounts to an empty region:
http://slurl.com/secondlife/Milotopia/114/145/55
No scripts except what you carry in, 300 prims of LL plants, etc.
Pump IO around 20 milliseconds.
Basically pump IO appears to use any frame time not used by anything else. So the more stuff is going on in a sim the higher the odds of asset system lag, etc.
-
Edit the hair. The scripts tab by default is for the root prim. You should not neeed to go hunting for it. You got it the moment you edited it. I.e.; edit the hair, click scripts tab, drop in scripts, follow remaining instructions.
You must have hair with mod permissions to do this.

SEO, Inworld Item descriptions?
in Creation
Posted
I think spamming the descriptions to that degree will cause your rank to be sent to the back of the line. Probably depends on how screwed your sector is with people scamming and lying about everything. If it is a ruined sector or a sector LL controls the top rankers in then there is nothing you can do.
