When you create a custom color, you should see a message in chat that tells you what the RGB tints are for that color. Those are the same numbers that you woul see if you had used the color picker in your viewer's editor to create a color. You are also given the RGB tints in the format that you would use if you were coloring an image in Photoshop or GIMP. We suggest that you copy those numbers down somewhere so that you can use them later if you want to match drapes or a prim wall.

The custom interior color process felt very user friendly and the prompts helped to get up to speed in no time!  It was great fun to use!  (passes around fresh cookies from the oven, and coco with chocolate dipped marshmallows)  would love a future update (button?) to allow degrees of lighten or darken (Just a Grayscale or Whitescale option) for current exterior siding colors to make current siding colors lighter or darken and still fall within the goals of a smart covenant that I appreciate.

Welll ... RIght behind Century region is an extremely high and broad hill, in SSPE372.  And on the other side of that is a region with traditionals named Bluff Knoll.  Looking from Bluff Knoll into SSPE372 you see this.

So they'll have to change the terrain ... somehow.

Perhaps some campers in the mountains at some point that could require smaller plots of flat land.  I've often thought that strip of dividing regions could play nicely by having a mixture of Traditional & Victorians living on blocks together as in RL neighborhoods.

Trinity that's a fantastic Idea, I'll bet there's a market for this should you decide to offer it up in the Market Place.

I decided to join the party. I figure if anybody knows what's going down, it will be THESE people... 😉

Great photos BTW!  Wishing I owned one of those lots, so I could stomp out the house and yell "you kids get off my lawn!", and then turn on the sprinklers.  Or maybe just set up a lemon-aid stand.

  7. Although understandable that many would wish their new Victorian arrive before the holiday week,  an unannounced pre or post holiday release closer to the 25th could be a gift for the servers by deflecting or reducing some of the  house hopping from our professional (read experienced) house hoppers who have crafted their hopping into Olympic status with amazing results.

I must admit being a fan of the "Traditional Continental" and how transformative it can be (with a little help) to a number of different architectural styles, being flexible and yet sustain a classic look all it's own.

I suspect there is a master plan to be followed by the Lindens and Moles regarding the release & bench marks to achieve 1st, and all will be reviled in good time.

  8. The sun has set on this year's Annual Christmas Expo to benefit the American Cancer Society,  culminating with the auction of a New Victorian Linden Home .  It was to put it simply, an amazing powerhouse full of sparks flying, tears flowing, cheers and laughter as we encouraged each other to new heights.  I wanted to take a moment and thank the volunteers & Lindens for their tireless work on this worthy cause that has touched so many of our lives, friends, and family.

To the Moles and their work on not only the Linden Homes,  but landscaping and surprise decorative touches around the regions that go the extra mile:  I hope that not only by demand currently outstripping supply,  but by the determination of all the auction bidders we have proven that not only can we support worthy causes together, but that Bellisseria in all it's forms is spectacular and the work of the Moles worthy of such competitive bidding.

So I didn't win the house (with it's island and extras), but the Charity won with the ever sky-rocking bids.  After the auction, I dropped a chunk of my final bid in the donation box, walked away from the crowds to view the Model Homes one last time, and sent a Congratulations note to Jica Batista for the winning bid.  Turns out it would have been her final bid, and would have only had a few $L's left!   I had such a good laugh, and told her my last bid was all I had to give as well!  Thank you Moles for giving it your all, too.  It was a day fond memories are made of.

Btw, for the last few days I've been posting progress reports on the South Belli buildout on the SSP thread.  Most recent one:

I've enjoyed following your progress postings and photos on the ssp page.

Belli Buildout?  Now offering the new Belli Buildout maternity line :)  "Girl, it's time you get one of those Belli Buildouts, and don't forgot those Bella bottoms and matching "Bell Vicks"  for him!

  10. Regarding the abbreviation & nicknames:  I don't believe Mz. Foden was scolding anyone or preaching.  I would offer that famous US cities didn't get their nicknames (more than anything, due to advertising)  over night, but rather decades of usage.  Organizations (NATO mentioned above) sometimes start out with a specific acronym, but no one would call NATO The "North Ameri TO" to start a trend.   Region names not only serve to differentiate spots on a map, but most importantly help when we communicate with each other.   You can call an area a pickle, a pump, or a trailer park by the tracks, but unless people are in your circle they'll have no idea where your referencing to and thus can end up excluding / baffling other's in conversation, rather than being clear & inclusive.  A common frame of reference keeps everyone on the same page.

Nothing like a simple pic to stir up rumour and speculation... yeah I'll bite lol

    Here are my fantastical speculations...

    • There's no imminent release - Patch just likes to wind us up and watch the rumours fly (mwahahahah!)
    • The release date is the number of snow blocks, so 21st? (quieter mwahahahaha)
    • The release date isn't hinted but it is just before Christmas
    • The new house controllers have a seasonal option - you can add snow to your home in winter if you want, roofs etc., (that would be awesome) instead of through adding from the content packs. (Patch hinted at the Expo the homes could do some cool stuff which sounded to me like more than just simply something like changing wall colours, but that we'd have to wait and see when released, so it's probably not colouring the walls as we saw that at the Expo).

(In all seriousness I always thought the release would be after Christmas and new year so they have time to finish their testing and people are back from holidays etc. We'll know soon enough...)

I'm noticing a number of Winter items in the photo too that could be in a content pack, such as snow caps on the bushes!

Well, it will cut down complaints about "I can't get a houseboat, I want my monies back, and will never be Premium again!"

Wait for the next: "I can't get a Victorian!"

Or: "I got a (Insert type of home here), but I don't like the region. I want a nicer place!"

I'd have to agree with you Marianne; there will always be some folks not satisfied with what is offered or available.  Now I'll admit I've done my share of House Hopping, clicking "Get your new home"  like I'm pounding away at a gacha machine feeding an addiction for that elusive prize.  We all come with at least a short shopping list of hope (mine included "near water"), But In the end, it's nice to simply  find a landing spot to stick around and enjoy the neighborhood & make some friends.  These are outstanding neighborhoods for new arrivals, and a fun summer house for more seasoned residents.   There are other mainland and Private land offerings for those searching for their "perfect".  For others needing "more prims": Mole made "Bay City" is perfect for dreamers & builders with streets and waterways, and a 1024 lot having 702 prims.

True: One lucky bidder will receive a 6-month Premium Membership and a 4th Edition Linden Home with Exclusive Seasonal content and located on a special parcel designed just for them by LDPW Moles.

I am sure they have the place ready, and it appears when the auction is over.

I am curious if you get to "Keep" the Home, or if it's only for 6 months too?   Wouldn't a 4th Edition Linden Home be awesome on an island with a boat dock?   Drop a little Greenhouse in your backyard for gardening?  I may have to go camp out a few times by the Blue & white Model at the expo and day dream.  I'm excited to hear there might be a future bidding war over the auction,  it's for a wonderful charity.  Counting $L's in my pocket.....maybe there's some in the cookie jar, under the sofa....!   Finger snaps, applause and cookies for Patch & the Moles!

I went back and looked carefully at the SSP regions, since those are the only ones fully showing for me on the web.  Based on that, there is only one island that only has 2 homes on it, thus that has to be where the winners' homes will be:

    image.png.131ce96752d9494a9207f3faa8224cfa.png

You could be Right!  It does show 2 houses, but the Auction is for 1?  There are some other interesting Outlets (and islands?) along it's coast!

  15. Very true!  I do love how Pickle Isle has a good amount of closeness to water, be it Ocean, lakes or rivers.  The new land mass appears to have less of that (however there may be a good number of parks with ponds), so I expect capturing a home by the water will be like winning the lottery!

I can now see the entire continent there except for the western edge - as those regions will replace the current channel.

Also, one Helicopter creator in SL has her own google-based (I think) map system that seems to update much better than the in-world map.

You can look at it here: http://shergoodaviation.com/radar.php

This is a Fantastic link with great detail. Thanks for posting this Eowyn!  On another note,  lovely to see a few islands scattered around the new land.  Maybe one will be for the Auction House at the Christmas Expo.
