  1. The last set of marketplace release notes was July 1st, 2013
  2. You can't opt out. Feature request is now over two years old. https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/WEB-2399 - filed 10th July 2010 In the end I think I had to set up a filter that blocked any and all communication from second life then I removed my vote from that jira. If the commerce team don't care why should I. Nice to see it still unresolved.
  3. Hello, I just checked my listings and I can confirm that bug. It only affects my magic box item. The item is available. The commands from the 'actions' menu are 'list or unlist, preview and edit'. But as you say no option to delete. My direct delivery listings are unaffected.
  4. Once you've removed the magic boxes do you have to hit "sync marketplace with magic boxes" from your manage inventory screen as a final step perhaps.
  5. "Status - Deferred". Ironically, I think that the most successful feature request in the JIRA for the web marketplace. It got answered/shut down within a week letting you know they won't implement it. Most of the other feature requests have seen nothing but silence from the commerce team and have been languishing for over a year. Someone wrote up a nice feature request for grouping multiple colors. https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/WEB-4299. They just closed it as a duplicate. I think the original submitter put it best. "This is a duplicate of an incompleted issue assigned to a Linden that no longer exists?"
  6. I'd agree that the marketplace provides a net benefit for both buyers & sellers, certainly I've seen an increase in web marketplace sales compared to inworld. The negativity you read here in the forums I think stems from improvements that don't seem to be happening or coming anytime soon. I rarely post but I often check the forums and the jira. For me, magicboxes have worked pretty fine as a delivery method so for them to spend well over a year on replacing it the exclusion of everything else is a point of great frustration. Some examples. https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/WEB-2399 Email filtering. That feature request is now 20 months old. It holds no value for me to get an email for every sale but I'd very much like to know when I get a new review. On reviews. The system right now really doesn't really incentivise people to review items, it's so rare to get someone to write anything. And there apparently still bugs. https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/WEB-3471? That bug is a year old. An obvious marketplace case. I have items with multiple colors. There is no way to group items into one listing so the marketplace is filled with duplicates. Someone wrote up a really nice feature request for that https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/WEB-4299 and they just closed it without even a note, that just comes across as rude to the user. And that would be bad enough but to list 9 identical items each in a different color, there is no way to tag them as such so you have to link to each related item seperately. Which is 3 clicks for each related item, 8 times for each listing across 9 listings. That's 216 clicks. Search logic terms like AND aren't available. https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/WEB-4113 which make filtering your shopping a lot easier...particularly with all the extra colors listed. The new delivery system is fine, I'll migrate over in the next couple of weeks. It's such a behind the scene feature I imagine most shoppers won't even notice a difference. And it looks like they're going to be ironing bugs out of it for a while yet so I'm not even sure we'll notice a difference in reliabilty. Before direct delivery the last feature was a year ago, and that was search within a store. I understand why the commerce team now locks there own posts and rarely comment, what could they possibly say about this state of affairs?.
  7. Indeed, outside of the marketplace lots of cool stuff is getting added. The marketplace team though must have decided to focus on a new delivery system and then add new features based off that. But like you say it's been going on a year and as an end user nothing else is getting done. You can go back and mine earlier forum posts and it's clear they never anticipated it taking them into 2012. Now they're just turtling along trying to finish it and it doesn't look like it's going to be ready for months yet. And think on this, until it's done & gone live there's still a chance it won't improve the percentage of failed deliveries. It's the 'opt out' of emails that frustrates me. It's so old, affects everyone that sells on the marketplace, doesn't seem like a big feature to ask for is it and it would improve the user experience so much. And just read the comments on it, people are screaming at them to add a damned tick box so we can opt out of these emails. I would really appreciate being able to turn of the email spam.
  8. I almost laughed when I read the subject of the post. Sure, you could file a Jira but I agree with the above, it's a complete and utter waste of time. You might as well put your suggestions in a bottle and throw it out to sea for the good it would do. Look how old some of these feature requests and bug reports are. https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/WEB-2399 (opt out of email spam - year and half) https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/WEB-2324 (Multiple store fronts - year and half) https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/WEB-3406 (simple character count bug - one year)
  9. Here's the bug report. https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/WEB-3406? Created in 13/Dec/10, which shows just how futile filing feedback is.
  10. Is the gif animated by any chance? Animated gifs aren't supported.
  11. Hi I saw your update to the JIRA and wanted to follow it up. I have 'Notify Off' for all my marketplace magic boxes. I have set the client to not send me emails for instant messages when I'm offline. These options work correctly for me. (and I hope that's not what the web marketplace team think the problem relates to) But for every sale on the web marketplace I get an email with the transaction detail. I have a few quite cheap and popular items on the marketplace so I'm getting 20 (sometimes more) emails a day. So if I'm away for a few of days I can end up with a massive inbox. Yes it's easy enough to filter them to junk but like I added on the JIRA, this is a web/technology company and this shouldn't be outside their realm of expertise. Can I just not find the appropriate page for this or something if so please tell me... I cannot find where we can disable them. If not, can we please have a tick box somewhere where we can opt out of receiving these sale emails?
  12. Please go and vote and watch the jira. https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/WEB-2399
  13. The JIRA is located https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/WEB-2399 I'd like a setting where we can opt out of sale emails.
  14. I get on average maybe ten/twenty emails a day, and it's certainly manageable to delete them. It's a small feature to ask for though and it's been acknowledged as a problem from a year ago. July 2010 first comment in that thread..."Will add a flag to turn them off." It was even flagged as 'fix pending' for months I think. It's not a design issue, for example where they don't want to allow giant colored fonts in listings. I use that as an example as that's a similar long standing jira with as many votes. I read the forums and blogs all the time but rarely post so I know the marketplace team are working on direct delivery. I hope is comes out soon and if it's as successful as they plan I'm sure it will be a really major benefit to some on the marketplace. For me there's just a lot more of this usability and feature stuff that would be nice to have addressed than some invisible delivery system that I won't even notice changing to.
  15. The jira is now over a year old. https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/WEB-2399
  16. Sorry to see the weekly update notes being discontinued. Even if they weren't announcing features ready to go it was nice to hear what stuff was being worked on. There's now a very old jira for being able to turn off email notifications, almost a year old, I think it's had a fix pending for just almost as long. https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/WEB-2399 The news posts where really the only things worth reading here.
  17. Update: My store name now correctly appears in search. That's taken approximately three weeks to be listed.
  18. I think there may be an issue with the search in the 'merchants/store names' box. I changed the name of my store soon after it was introduced and the new name does not appear to be reflected in the search results. I believe the searches are static from when they first introduced the feature...possibly doing improvements before they get updated names. I submitted a bug report earlier in the week about it. https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/WEB-3861 Hollee
  19. For Viewer1.23 - Go to 'Tools' and choose 'Select only my objects'. For Viewer 2x - Go to 'Build' -> 'Options' -> 'Select only my objects'. Now in build editing mode you can click and drag to select everything on your screen and only your objects will be selected and you can easily see the count of objects and prims in the edit window.
  20. Excellent work on the new search features. Really glad to see things being added to the marketplace. I know you're working on storefront listings too thanks to you weekly updates and it will be even better when we can order our products for the store search images. Possible improvements, you list stores alphabetically and you might want to arrange it such that non-alphabet characters are ignored. I'm guilty of this myself (I just like the look) but if you add in * { [ & style text decorations you get listed at the top. That's sure to be gamed pretty quickly. Some stores are currently empty by the looks of it. (search Hollee) If you could check this and not list that would be handy. Again though really happy to see some great new features coming to the marketplace and not just behind the scenes stuff.
  21. I'm really enjoying the weekly updates, please continue with them. Nice to hear what you've & are planning. The stuff you plan to implement sounds great to me. I would personally prefer the customer facing aspects, like the store front customization and hopefully grouping of items into variations at some point e.g color. to take priority. Just for context, I have about a dozen items each in nine colors, so my store has over a hundred listing when I'd ideally like to display just the twelve. For my store, grouping would make a big difference. No real problems with what you intend to do more a case of what I'd like to see done first and what would improve the marketplace the most for my customers.
